Dearest Patients, Friends and Family,
I opened this dental practice on September 8, 1982 and have always tried to treat all my patients the way I wanted to be treated, I believe I have succeeded in treating the patients well and I am very proud of the work I have done over the years. As you probably know, on August 5 2011, I had a tractor and bush hog accident which left me severely wounded. I am slowly regaining health but still do not feel myself to be 100%. I hope it comes, but in the meantime I am not able to give 100% to my patients and that is not fair to them. I have decided it to be in the best interest of my patients to retire and sell my practice to a friend of mine whom I trust, Dr. Edward R. Scott II, DDS.
Dr. Scott is 37 years old and has a strong passion for dentistry and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects, especially in improving the oral healthcare of his patients. Dr. Scott received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. He also received a Masters in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina and Bachelors in Accounting from the West Virginia University Institute of Technology where he played for the Golden Bears NCAA Basketball Team. He holds memberships with the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry, and the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr Scott also holds a Standard Laser Proficiency Certification and is Invisalign certified. Furthermore, he has volunteered hundreds of hours of community service to the Health Right Dental Clinic, Give Kids a Smile Day, and Missions of Mercy Dental Organization.
Dr. Scott is a very nice guy and I am confident that he will continue to provide you and your family with the best dental care possible. Please accept him and follow his guidance in your ideal dental care, as he has your best interest at heart. I totally trust him. Please welcome him and give your full hearted support and know that he cares about you, as I do. My caring staff will remain the same. So with no further ado, I introduce to you, Dr. Edward Scott. Feel safe and secure as I know I will. It has been a great thirty-five years and I will continue to see you around and be a friend as always.
Thank you for the years of loyalty and confidence,
Dr. Gary L. Brown, DDS
